In 1994, former Salisbury University student Bruce Harrell volunteered at the Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture for his final project on folklore and folklife. His main task was to transcribe audiotapes. In this paper, he talks briefly about an interview on the Great Depression that he worked on and how he realized the worth of his contribution, which will someday help someone in his or her research. He also described what this center was like back then.

To gain more exposure to folk life material for his English class, Will M. Morris worked at the Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture in 1994. In this paper, the student reports on his experience and discoveries. He worked on documents compiled by Dr. G. Ray Thompson, a former chair of the History Department of SSU, who was researching about his family's history. Various records such as that of the Glass Hill Cemetery (Parsonsburg, Md) and the Militia Appointments of the Ninth Regiment of Worcester County, 1794 -1817, were included. The student enclosed a copy of each.

In 1994, former Salisbury University student Christy Lynn Klinger collected folk material. While working at the archives, she processed some promissory notes dated from mid-1850s and recognized several family names that can be seen on some local road signs. She decided to investigate further about the Lemmon family (photographs of the area enclosed) and retraced its deeds and history in her final paper. Another aspect that she analyzed during her research was the language and spelling used back then, which were very different of that of her time (samples of letters enclosed).

In 1993, former Salisbury University student Meredith Wagner worked at the archives to get a first-hand experience with folklore materials. Her main tasks involved preserving documents. In her paper, she talks about what she had learned and emphasized one particular project she worked on: a set of confirmation certificates and other documents that belonged to the Glocks, a family of Lutheran faith from Baltimore. She also described some of the folklore collections she worked on.
